CS7.2 Essentials Kit and Complete Build Kit Release Info

As we approach the full CS7.2 release, I wanted to take a minute to talk about the kit options that are now available. Some of this has come up in the Discord channels already, but I wanted to create a more formal post here for reference.

What Options Are Available?

Depending on where you’re at in your build journey, there are now two main paths for getting into CS7.2:

• CS7.2 Essentials Kit
• CS7.2 Complete Build Kit

CS7.2 Essentials Kit

This kit is intended for builders who are already familiar with the CS7.1 platform or who have a stockpile of parts they can reuse. If you’re confident with your build and just need the parts that are new, custom, or otherwise only available from me — this kit is for you.

The Essentials Kit includes:

• CS7.2 Main Processing Board
• CS7.2 Camera Light Ring (custom PCB with integrated LEDs)
• 2 Sticker Labels (for electronics wiring)
• 2 M8x1.0 Heatset Inserts (for proximity sensor installation)

This should cover the components that aren’t easy to source elsewhere. Everything else you can build or reuse from your previous setup.

CS7.2 Complete Build Kit

If you're just getting started or want a cleaner, hassle-free parts experience, the Complete Build Kit is the better option.

The Complete Kit includes:

• A prebuilt Camera Module (with V2 camera)
• CS7.2 Main Processing Board
• CS7.2 Camera Light Ring
• All the electronics (motor controller, sensors, etc.)
• All small hardware (screws, spacers, ferrules, etc.)

Important: The Complete Build Kit does not include the 3D printed parts or the 12v 5A power supply. You will still need to print the mechanical components yourself (files available in the repo) and supply your own PSU.

Individual Parts Available

In addition to the two kits, I am also making a few parts available individually:

• CS7.2 Camera Light Ring – Custom PCB with integrated LEDs for the new backlighting strategy.
• Sticker Label Set – Extra labels for wiring if you need replacements or spares.
